Where Nexio Fits Better

It's built for the scanning step. Nexio exists to turn a card into a contact and nothing else. Extraction runs through a cloud AI vision model rather than a fixed OCR template, which is what lets it cope with stylized layouts and non-Latin scripts. If capture is the part of your workflow that hurts, that's the app whose whole surface area is pointed at it.

Language coverage. 200+ languages. If you attend international conferences or collect cards in non-Latin scripts, this is the most concrete difference between the two.

Simplicity. Nexio has one job. You open it, scan a card, and the contact appears in your phone. Cardhop has birthday reminders, smart groups, natural language parsing, interaction history, and a dozen other contact management features. Great if you want all that. Overwhelming if you just want to scan a card.

If you want one app to manage your entire address book, not just capture from cards, Cardhop is built for that.

Mac companion app. Cardhop works on both iPhone and Mac. If you manage contacts from your desktop, that's a real advantage. Nexio is phone-only.

Design polish. Cardhop is one of the most thoughtfully designed apps on iOS, with distinctive animations and attention to detail throughout the UI.

Natural language input. Cardhop understands context: "call the plumber" or "email John about the proposal" work as commands inside it. Nexio doesn't have this because it isn't trying to be a contact manager.
